Bill joined the firm in 1994 as a partner. Bill passed the Uniform CPA examination in 1970, clerked for Judge Carlisle B. Roberts of the Oregon Tax Court 1971-1972, and was in-house counsel for Pacific Northwest Bell 1976-1979. Active professionally, he has served on committees of the Oregon State Bar and Multnomah Bar Association including Public Service, Bar Press Broadcasters, Judicial Screening, Professionalism, and Legal Ethics. He has been a speaker and presenter at various Bar and Oregon Law Institute educational seminars. 


In addition to representing insured and self-insured employers in workers' compensation defense and related issues, Bill represents parties in Oregon State and Federal courts in a variety of civil litigation matters.


Bill received formal training and certification in dispute resolution from United States Arbitration and Mediation. He is a skilled arbitrator and mediator for attorneys and their clients, offering innovative, cost-effective methods of resolving disputes.



Bill was awarded the Douglas W. Daughtry Award of Merit by the Oregon State Bar Workers' Compensation Section on May 10, 2013. This award is given for commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and willing adherence to the highest ethical standards while making outstanding contributions to the Workers' Compensation Section and the hearing process.
